LEED Certified Houston Hotels
Element Houston Vintage Park is one of the few Houston hotels that is LEED Certified. Awarded in 2010 by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED - EB Silver Certification. From top to bottom, the hotel features a number of design elements that were created to decrease our environmental footprint as well as our guests without sacrificing any of our guests needs. We even offer a special thank-you to our most green-minded guests, providing priority parking spots for hybrid cars. Beside the design, we have a number of sustainable services and practices that make it easy to play a part.
We've outfitted each guest room with ENERGY STAR qualified kitchen appliances, eco-friendly bath fixtures, and recycling bins for paper, plastic, and glass. We also minimize waste with recycled paper towels in the kitchen, filter systems for drinking water to replace plastic bottles, and silverware and glassware instead of disposable products. Showers feature dispensers for shampoo/conditioner and body wash, rather than wasteful mini-bottles.
Throughout the hotel, we've pioneered eco-friendly design without ever compromising comfort, quality, or performance. Our physical spaces use materials that are both sustainable and inviting, from stylish carpets with up to 100% recycled content to low-VOC paint that enlivens walls without harming indoor air quality. Large windows and open layouts bring in as much natural light as possible, supplemented by compact fluorescent bulbs that shed a soothing glow while using about 75% less energy than conventional bulbs. Green cleaning products help keep Element sparkling clean and healthy for people and the planet.
